BCR – Sponsoring British Sporting Talent

May 2008

British Car Registrations are proud to announce the sponsorship of two more up & coming young sports people in the Birmingham area - the Bell sisters (Victoria & Florence).

After a winter spent at Aiglon College in Switzerland in 2007, ski racing in the Alps, Victoria, together with her younger sister, entered the series of British home races held in Italy, Switzerland and France (English, Welsh and Scottish) and both qualified for the British Championships held in Meribel, France in April 2008. Both girls finished well above their seed points – a great success for their first year – especially considering they both have more years to compete in their same age groups.

The indoor season has now started with the inaugural Anglo-Welsh Championships held at the Chill Factore in Manchester – a National Championship for which there was a qualifying level of seed points - delivering a 12th place for Victoria and a 3rd place for Florence.

Riki Christodoulou – Top of the Podium at Brands Hatch!

March 2008

British Car Registrations is delighted to again confirm sponsorship of Riki Christo for a second season of Formula Renault UK with Michelin. Riki is again racing as part of the Fortec team.

The 19 year old former British Junior Karting champion was overjoyed with his win in the first of two races at the season’s opening in Brands Hatch last week. Taking the chequered flag
in what was, according to Riki, a “rather boring race” was an “awesome” experience and one he would clearly like to set a precedent with for this season.

Riki had a successful first season in Formula Renault with 7 podium positions. Of the first race of this season Riki said “I felt really confident and relaxed and it helped with this being
my second year in the championship”.

With the astonishing success of home-grown Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1, it looks like Britain has much more motor racing success to look forward to in the years to come.
