Approved - Four Times In a Row
November 2005
November 18 th 1996 was a very special day because it was on that day that an important milestone was reached in the history of British Car Registrations. That was when we became the first company in our industry to be awarded the coveted, Government-backed ISO 9002 accreditation. Over the following years, we retained the standard at 9-monthly audits, even when it was upgraded to ISO 9001:2000
ISO 9001:2000 is recognised the world over as the benchmark for quality management systems. Any company that can boast approval can be relied upon as working to a consistently high standard with the emphasis on continual improvement and customer satisfaction. What is perhaps most surprising is that, in the 9 years that we have had ISO 9001 approval, only one other registrations company has followed our lead.
So it was that November 22 nd 2005 was another important day for British Car Registrations being the day on which our approval was reconfirmed for the 4 th time in succession; the 9th anniversary of our original recognition.
Our systems and procedures have been moulded, tried and tested and now that we are in our 10th year of approval to the ISO 9001:2000 international standard, our customers (buyers and sellers alike) can be completely confident that they will receive the most professional of service from a Company that cares enough about the quality of its service to submit to independent quality auditing.
Here’s to the next 9 years!
A Different Goal
May 2005
On May 25th 2005, we had a different goal in sight - not a single registration mark entered the frame! In support of The Albrighton Trust, British Car Registrations, captained by Director Brian Bell, fielded a football team against The Birmingham City All Stars managed by Capital Gold FM's Tom Ross. The venue, the famous Villa Park, home of Premiership team Aston Villa.
The British Car Registrations team sported the Aston Villa home strip and the opposition wore their customary all-blue kit. The ball boys and ball girls wore specially printed T shirts to mark the occasion and their important contribution to the event.
The players were thoroughly spoiled in all aspects, from using the players' car park and entrance and first team dressing room (complete with refreshment service and 5 star washroom facilities) through to running out onto the pitch to the traditional musical fanfare! Most of the British Car Registrations team said they would be happy to turn out for "the Villa" every Saturday for free if they could expect such superstar treatment (those who could still speak by the end of the match, that was!).
A wonderfully exciting evening was had by all even though (rather predictably) the trophy was lifted by The Birmingham City All Stars after their 5-0 win (it could have been worse!).
British Car Registrations is happy to support The Albrighton Trust. The charity was established to provide recreational activities for disabled people (activities such as fishing, croquet etc) where they can participate alongside their able-bodied friends and family. Web Trader
Feburary 2005
British Car Registrations is pleased to announce that its web site has been approved under the WebTraderUK scheme.
For anyone unfamiliar with the scheme, it was introduced by the Direct Marketing Association and is designed to encourage consumer confidence in the online shopping environment. Furthermore, it is backed by TrustUK, the self-regulatory body, supported by the Government, which aims to develop consumer confidence in buying goods and services online.
WebTraderUK’s pedigree is enhanced further by virtue of the fact that compliance with its code of conduct will be monitored by the Direct Marketing Authority which is chaired by John Bridgeman (former Director General of the Office of Fair Trading).
The core of the scheme is a consumer-focused Code of Practice with which online traders must comply. This Code changes as new legislation or 'best practice' emerges. Compliance is ensured by 'mystery shopping' exercises, monitoring of complaints, and customer feedback mechanisms.
British Car Registrations has always been at the forefront of driving industry standards higher and that reputation is maintained by this approval. There is no doubt that some consumers feel uneasy about buying online. British Car Registrations’ web site is fully secure and enables customers who buy online to track their own transactions 24hrs a day every single day of the year. The WebTraderUK scheme can only boost consumer confidence in this very exciting and totally convenient method of shopping and British Car Registrations supports it wholeheartedly.
